Our Leadership
Scott Little – Pastor

Scott is married to Justine and they have four young children, Aliyah, Caleb, Eliana and Odelia. His family originally hail from the East End and he grew up in rural Norfolk, but the smoke of London eventually drew him back. Scott worked as a chartered accountant for many years until he and Justine felt the call to serve, trained at Oak Hill College and moved to St John’s Wood Baptist Church in 2017. The Littles enjoy the adrenaline rush of cycling in London, reading books and going on bear hunts around the house with their children!
Matt Hodson – Assistant Pastor

Matt grew up in the Garden of England (Kent), in Canterbury, surrounded by a lovely Christian family. It wasn’t until his mid-teens that he realised his need to make a personal commitment to Jesus and got baptised just before going off to the University of York. He studied mathematics there for three years and it was over this time that he seriously started following Jesus. God was very kind to him in these years – giving Matt strong Christian friends and a church which he could call family.
After university, he began working as a pastoral intern at Emmanuel Church Canterbury, where he stayed for three years. During this time Matt started to prayerfully explore full-time ministry, which led him on to the Cornhill training course in London for two days a week over two years. He loves telling people about Jesus and wanted to be better equipped to do that, so he went to Oak Hill Theological College to study for three years.
At college he started attending St John’s Wood Road Baptist Church and has been here ever since.
Matt is married to the lovely Rebecca and enjoys playing all sport (especially football and hockey), reading, learning new languages and Thai red curry.
Laurence Hill – Elder

Laurence became a Christian at school during the 1970’s due to the influence of a RE teacher. He studied Physics at Sheffield University where he was involved in a Christian drama group taking the gospel around local churches and among students. He has been at St John’s Wood for longer than he cares to remember and an elder for over 10 years. When not at church, Laurence works full time as a Clinical Scientist at a London teaching hospital and enjoys photography and early 20th century adventure stories.
